I have to say that it’s always fun to join the challenges by The Diva. This week, we can play around with a new tangle ‘Quib’. I came up with the drawing below. I never seem to be able to keep it small. Well, that’s me :-). I try to give it my own twist.
This week’s Zentangle challenge by The Diva, we got inspired by a video of Sakura, containing bugs. Below my take on the challenge. Had a lot of fun drawing this piece. I took a moth as inspiration.
I used Letraset Promarkers and Artline Drawing system-pens.
I enjoyed this week’s challenge by The Diva very much. It took me to a different place I intended in the beginning, but hey, isn’t that the intention of doodling? ;-). I call it ‘Dancing on blurred lines’.
Below, my take on this weeks challenge bij The Diva. We have to make a ‘monotangle’, pointilism style. I know my entry is not a zentangle, because I got inspired to draw flowers. I’m drawn to flowers the last couple of weeks :-). It took about three hours to draw. Except for the background, everything is a dot.
Size: 10,5 x 16 cm.
Materials: Artline Drawing System Pigment Ink (background), Stabilo Point 88, fine 0,4mm (flowers).
Last week, I made a get well soon card for my cousin. Although I do kind of like my challenge entry for this week, I like the version below better… It took about twelve hours to draw.
Size: 21 x 29,7 cm.
Materials: Artline Drawing System Pigment Ink, Letraset Promarkers and Flexmarkers
This week’s challenge by The Diva is about getting inspired by stuff in your own home. Well, that was easy for me, I photographed my furniture and stuff for about an hour. I was surprised to find that much inspiration, enough for weeks ‘n’ weeks! I ended up using some decoration on an antique sewing machine, which is nearly faded, but still inspiring. So, this is what I came up with. I edited a bit on my computer, I only drew the left part and copied it to the right. I actually like drawing on my computer as well and I often combine the techniques.
I will probably recreate this design some time, but a bit cleaner, as I don’t like the crooked lines that much :-). For now, this will do.
This weeks challenge by the Diva is all about color. I just love color and had a lot of fun this week!
Previously I made some other colorful work. Below some examples of my work. As you can see, I like to combine several techniques and inspiration sources. The portrait is of my mother, when she was quite a bit younger.
Nearly forgot to make an entry for this weeks challenge by The Diva… Just in time :-).
So, this is my second entry for a zentangle challenge of The Diva. I liked doing it last week… I made a 3D version of it.
